Francis Jennison and William Butterworth, convicts, guilty of the murder of John Groundwater, one of their overseers within the lines of Cumberland Fort at Portsea.  They were taken from the County Gaol at 4.13 in the morning arriving at the execution spot near Portsea at 10 o’clock.  Their bodies wee afterwards hanged in chains at Langston Harbour.
